Bull Shark

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well more people die each year from buying pop out of machines than they do fron shark atacks..only 4 people die a year from sharks....althouh bull sharks are the most agressive of all sharks having a testosterone level of 900 as to that of a human male around 10...
also we have decimated 90% of the world shark population . catching and releasing these beautys is the only way to stop them from becoming extinct as the world depends on sharks for its survival
shark mainly feed on alot of fish that eat phytoplancton
phytoplanton provides the earth with 80% of its oxygen not trees at only 20%
so we should give these creatures a chance as it take them 25 years to reach sexual maturity
it was a nice fish
i do eat fish and am an avid river fisherman but i draw the line at sharks
i love them
have a good day everyone

How do the pups know when to go back to the ocean?

Just inborn instinct and very sharp shark senses.

how big are the sharks in florida

I take it you mean how big do Bull Sharks get in Florida. About the same size as they get in most of range. They average about 8-9 ft as adults. And they can grow to about 11-12 ft.

As for rivers being nearly as dangerous as Oceans. What I mean is the water is the domain of sharks and other aquatic predators - not the domain of humans.

Yet we all to often blame the shark for an attack on humans. The truth is Sharks are active predators - and like most predators they often hunt for the easiest meal. The party that really should be blamed is - the human - either because they weren't observant enough of their surroundings, or did something to unknowingly attract the shark's attention.

We've tracked several 9' females in the Miami area. Reports from a study South of here have some closer to 14'....but that is a RARE case.

Some don't go back at all. There are documented populations of bulls spending their entire life in fresh. Usually they come and go. There are several advantages to moving into freshwater: less predatory competition, parasite removal etc...

Ugh I hate indiscriminate shark killings D: I love sharks sooo much.

i wonder if bull sharks make for good eatin

That one will probably be pretty gross since they didn't bleed it out and fillet it right away. Just stuck it in the freezer whole.
