Bull Sharks.

22K gallon WALK through tank? Your numbers must be wrong. That's just 12x30x8. NOT big enough for a single 10' shark. Not to mention VERY umimpressive for a walk through tank.

Bulls can't live their entire life in fresh water either, they are a salt water species that is tolerant of fresh water. They still need salt water.

There are several full FW populations out there.

One of the most interesting things that you have to see at the Dallas World Aquarium is the big walk through fish tank with a 22,000 gallon tunnel. It is located at level one of the aquarium. Bull sharks and brown sharks are seen swimming around
they have about 30 sharks in that tank too.

Your numbers are off :D . The 22K tank is the Cont Shelf... the main Mundo Maya shark tank is almost 500,000 gallons. I was the Sr Aquarist there when we built it, and was also the one who caught the bulls when it openned. Last time I was there, DWA only had sandbars, bonnets and rays in the display... no bulls. Very similar in look, but the bulls have a more squared off nose and bulkier bodies.

eh i was hoping so, that just what every place said on the internet. Everywhere it stated, 22k. Well i feel better about their shark tank now.

So who is it who owns one of these monsters?

I've got pics of DWA in my "shark pics" album (in my sig line). If you want more of it, let me know. I've got construction all the way to sharks in the tank...including my first dive in there.

As for who has one, he's posting in this thread.... that's all I'll say :D

OH COME ON:nilly:

I will look at the pics.

Are the bulls in your pics yours???? >:] They kinda look like they are in the wild, but your feeding them so.... What are they like??!?? :D

Bulls are everything you hear about plus more. Only a couple public aquariums keep them well......and even fewer private owners can pull it off.

Aren't they responsible for the majority or shark attacks? I know JAWS was based of a series are shark attack that happened in in New Jersey, a bunch of the attacks where in fresh water so that's why it's thought that the attacks were by a Bull Shark/s. Also they are much easier to come across than sharks like Great Whites and Tigers. Aren't bulls known to attack in as little as 3 feet of water? I'll admit that I am terrified of Bull Sharks, but if there is something I want to do in my life it's keep a Bull Shark in a crystal clear lagoon or aquarium. Such a cool idea.

Any way, basically Bull Sharks are the big, man eating, blood thirsty, nasty and aggressive?

Btw as far as ajustiblity, are bull sharks more or less sensitive to water conditions?
