My LPS's don't have much of a live selection to choose from, and their 'large' crickets are anywhere from pinhead to medium.
My boy wolfs down as many crickets as I put in his tank, but I know he needs more than that.
I am possibly getting some hissing cockroaches in a month or so, but that is too long to wait.
The price of crickets it getting a little high as well.

Has anyone had luck with feeding a partially wild bullfrog dead foods?

As of right now, he has plenty of crickets, but that is all my LPS's carry, and I won't give him mice.

crickets, if you can get a small tank and breed madagascar roaches you could feed him those they're easy to keep and easier to breed

I just don't Think a diet of nothing but crickets (who come from disgusting conditions) is good for him.
If he was outside he'd be eating any bug that walked by, smaller frogs, and ect.

I will try to get some hissers, but they are expensive, unless I get some from sellers on www.arachnoboards.com

anything they can catch. literally.

seen one eat a snake that was a good size...another eat a sparrow

really cus im sure if u know a teacher they can order you some from one of their cataloges they get

i dont recommend that lol i was just saying. giant cockroaches...occassional mouse, fish, etc

Try feeding it Night crawlers from Wal marts bait section, they are labeled as Canadian Nightcrawlers ,I have an African bull Frog that loves them!

Would an adult pyxie or bullfrog need more than just insects....Jus curious cuz I think I read somewhere they actually benefit from some mammalian prey in their diet as adults....???
