Bullfrog Diet?

Would an adult pyxie or bullfrog need more than just insects....Jus curious cuz I think I read somewhere they actually benefit from some mammalian prey in their diet as adults....???

Oh I know, but after having kept mice and raised them from pinkies the thought of putting a blind, deaf and helpless animal in with a reptile is something I cannot do.
I also do not think bullfrogs come across mouse dens very often in the wild, so it is not like I am depriving him of something he would naturally have.

Try live feeder fish that you raised and gutloaded yourself like gupys and mosquito fish, no gold fish. Offer with twesers.

He freaked out and hopped away when I tried, he has mosquito fish in his tank though, he just can't catch them.

I agree with big E...just go to Walmart and check out there bait.
