hey, at my local fish store they are selling 2 inch bullfrog tadpoles for 1.99 each, i always wanted to get one, what are the requirements for one, because i think i might get one once there are no fish in my 10 gallon...

Bullfrogs look cool. But do you really want to hear one croaking all night, every night?

Get a pixie bullfrog.

I wouldn't put one in either. They jump very high, and are pretty powerful. My guess is it would be miserable, and either hurt itself, or escape. But thats just my opinion.

As a tadpole a 10 gallon would be tight, 20 would be better. I have caught many tadpole as a kid and the bullfrog tadpoles got to be 6 inches before changing. Once they start changing it becomes a whole different deal, I'd say a 40 breeder would be ideal for the change to a frog, but after that bullfrogs do best in ponds. I had a bullfrog that was a good 16 inches from nose to toe on hind leg when stretched out. It would have been miserable living in anything but the pond behind our house. I caught it with a net once and brought it up to the house to show my mom, that's how we measured it up, we let it hop around the yard awhile and then took it back to the pond. It could clear a good 8-10 feet per hop in the yard. If you want a pet, look at leopard frogs, you usually can order the tadpoles as a science project.

Besides the fact it would need a much bigger tank, have you heard a bullfrog close up? NOT the same ad hearing dwarf frogs
