My first thought when I saw that pic was "madtom". But I am far from an expert. Also, the pic is gone now so *shrug*.

It doesnt look like a yellow bullhead, it dont have long anal fin and its head doesnt look right for a yellow bullhead.

I disagree, the anal fin is much longer than a brown's. The eye seems a bit large, but still within the range of variation for yellows. The head shape seems normal to me.

WattaMelon- all madtoms have the adipose fin fused with the caudal fin. This is a quick way to distinguish them from all other North American catfishes.

Sorry but this is NOT yellow bullhead. The bullhead in the picture has shorter anal fin. And the head shape doesnt look right for a yellow bullhead. However the fin anal and head shape look right for a Brown bullhead or a black x brown hybrid (well they are common in my areas). I used to have a juvie brown bullhead looks like that. Trust me it aint yellow bullhead.

A brown at that size will still have dark pigment all over the fins, not marginal dark bands. And I still disagree on the anal fin length. It would be shorter in a brown. The dorsal fin would also be further back in a brown.
