Bullhead Help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and hikari sinking carnivore pellets will grow him real fast

they go crazy for earthworms

The only issue he may have, is that he is sooo small, so I don't know if he will be able to eat part of an earthworm. I'll have to try tomorrow. Little guy is sleeping now. I was able to get two pics, but they are not that good, seems how he is so small. He is in a 10-Gallon with a few different species of snail.

cut up those earth worms into small pieces and drop 'em real close to the little guy.I know my bullheads do better and are much more active in cooler temps (70-75 degree). If he stays active and looks well I wouldnt worry about it to much.

I got some last spring and threw them in my small pond. The water s 82-90* durring the summer. They grew alot faster then i expected. When i brought them in for the winter, the calmed down and grew a little slower. I agree 70-75 is perfect but they are fine in higher temps. They will just grow faster, eat more and produce more waste. good luck with your little guy.

Thanks for the help guys.
Stopped at my LFS today (Going to another tomorrow hopefully, lol, they got in a fish I've been looking for) and I came back with a few different foods that have been recommended for the Bullhead.
Any idea what species he is or could be? I know it probably will be hard trying to ID him, because he is sooo small. Came back with a new unknown fish. They were having a sale in the Native Fish section. Posting a new topic to try to get an ID on him.
