ri
how big do they grow and is 10 bucks worth it for one

Yes, the common or "false" bumble bee catfish get a total length of about 5.9"

However if you get a Pseudopimelodus bufonius or "Giant Bumblebee Catfish" They grow to a maximum of 9.6" TL.

Hope this helps.

if it is a giant bumblebee watch out what you keep with it as they are known to be very aggressive and will destroy tankmates. havent had that problem with my mini version, will eat any tankmates that can fit in its mouth like about any pim. cat, but doesnt have the nasty temper of the giant

Ive got a bumblebee cat, its not a pseudopimelodus bufonius but its about 8" long. I'm pretty sure its a pseudomystus siamensis even though they supposedly only reach 6".

i had one for a while, and i would not only get one, as they like to stay in schools. I'd say 5 would be a better bet with these guys.

many sp. called "bumblebee" cats- too many so you need to be sure of the sp.

some stay very tiny while others can grow big.
