I've been keeping several p. bufonis for many years among other pseudopimelodid species and I have a pair of the common tan/orange and black banded variety that never got past 8" in growth. I have another p. bufonis, a black banded variety from Peru that is around 12" in length. That shot of the huge p. bufonis is amazing! Here's a pic of my dark one..http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=506254&stc=1&d=1278199613

$10 is a good price. We sell them at work for $15 plus tax, they are very cool indeed. They are not fast sellers over the course of 10months you get to see how they act. They hide during the day when the lights are on but come out after dark.
