ive had him for over 11 yrs now. how long do you think he will live. he is very nasty to other fish i am scared to get certain types. and really he is my fav.

Bumble bee cats are tough as hell. I thought mine died, because it had been bitten by the 13" royal knife I had and had a gash that was so deep I could almost see its spine. I put it in a different tank and it dissappeared for more than a month. The other day I lifted a piece of driftwood out of the tank and he squirmed out, fully healed as if nothing had ever happened.

Don't know their longevity but wanna see pics of it. Never saw a 11 years old bumblebee catfish before.

Bumble Bee cats are crazy tough! Mine had its face torn off by my two xingu 1 pikes and it is still alive today! Although he now has a bit of a deformed face and I don't think his mouth closes all the way he is still alive. Oh yea how big is he. I have had mine close to a year and he is only like 3" maybe 4". I was under the impression that they got about 6"-8".
