That cave looks really small and looks like it has allot of sharp edges. Maybe try something that provides cover but is a little more open lile some sort of root structure. How is he eating ?

Glad you guys like the vid will post another tomorrow

He eats sinking pellets which I aim to sink right in front of him. He's so tentative it seems he's unsure whether or not to approach his food or not. Oh well.. Can't wait for his inner oscar to emerge...

Hey mcdebs07, any updates? How is the little Bumblebee coming along?

I am getting in on a group buy with some friends for a Rapps order and am looking to get a Bumblebee myself.

I got one of Jeff's Bumblebee's yesterday, and I'm feeling pretty lucky. He's been in the tank just under 24 hours and he's swimming around and eating well. From my very limited knowledge (first Oscars) he acts normally for being so recently shipped, right up until we get close to the tank then he proceeds to turn darker and tail stand until we're out of his sight.

Sorry for the crappy cellphone/feeding time pics.

He's staying really dark, but he's gotten a lot more comfortable. He doesn't immediately pout when someone goes in front of the tank and he did pretty well with a water change today. He's starting to show some personality too. He's decided that he's not a fan of cowboy hats. He'll come up to the front of the tank to look at me, but if I'm wearing a hat he turns around and tail slaps. He's wolfing down the food at feeding time. He'll come right up to the surface with my hand almost in the water to get pellets.

I'm feeling really lucky that he came around so quick. He looked rough when he showed up. Frayed fins and some eye burn from being bagged. The fins are healing up well and the eye cloud is gone. I'm really happy with my first oscars.
