bunch of thugs in motion...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Love the tank and stock, but....I would rid the rocks of that tank. It will give the cats more swimming space, plus when your bass freak out it won't harm them.

IMO, swimming space is more important then decore.

thanks for checking out my video.

they're fake rocks and the bottoms are hollow.. the only reason i keep the rocks in the bottom is because my giant bumblebee cat likes to hide in it.. he wasn't too happy when i removed them. i agree with you on the swimming space.
the big piece of drift wood floating around will be coming out soon as well.. i'll put it in the grow out for my other pbass so they have some hiding space.

also a tank upgrade is in the works as well :)

Cool, but hiding space for grow out bass will mean they will hide more. IMO, skittish fish need less places to hide. It will give them more time to "get to know you", for bass and most fish. One fish can't determined your whole tank.

By the way, I want your monos.

you make a good point.. that's for the advice, i appreciate it.
as crazy as it may be, i usually sit in front of the grow out tank for at least an hour a day just so they get used to me, they aren't so skittish anymore and will take frozen shrimp from my hand.. well just the Orino's the Azul still has it's moments.. lol
once I get the 120g grow out up and running i'll ad some pics and videos.. the new sealant is curing, 10 more days to go (i like to have it sit for at least 2 weeks before i fill the tank, even though i know 7 days is enough).

i just got the big male mono (17") and female mono (12") on a trade and I couldn't be happier :) i was hoping for some action since they keep clearing the bottom of the tank but nothing yet. the other mono with the hump is just a terror at times but he likes to think that he runs the show.

Redtaol cat will be a problem soon.

yes he will.. lol
he's actually almost 2 yrs old. he was a rescue from some guy locally that kept him in a small tank with oscars and such. he's missing an eye from being attacked by them however, i've had him for 4-5 months now and he's grown to around 13-14".. he was 6" when i got him, so he's starting to come around. the guy thought that he would be a good bottom feeder and let it eat whatever made it to the bottom, well not much did apparently with the oscars..

anyways, i'll have plans for both the cats as they get bigger.

Nice thugs!!!! G!!!
