max size 6" correct? I plan on having 5x, any issues with that number? Feeding floating pellets okay? Gonna put some 2" archers with clown loaches. Any special precautions I should take/tips?

You should check out my thread on these archers! We share common interests in our fish. I was very concerned when I dropped $250 to have 5 x3" delivered to my house. They are doing GREAT, gained some weight and some length in one months time. I am feeding FD black soldier fly larvae (Amazon.com) nls floating pellets, Hikari floating sticks, FD krill. I believe they grow to 6", and actually get along very well with my 6" Jac Archerfish.

I had a group a while ago and they were not too picky with food as they greedily accepted sinking pellets, small worms and even flakes on occasion.

lol, yeah saw ur thread. gonna get some from wetspot. Yeah noticed that we've got similar taste in fish. Tigrinus, datnoids, clown loaches

The 3" stock I got from them are very healthy. Ate the next day. Trust me, buy this from Amazon, having insects in their diet is important. Great phos to calcium ratio, even read about the Lauric acid potentially helping against diseases, etc. Either it's wishful thinking, but I swear they have put on some size in just one month. Hopefully, they don't grow as slow as clown loaches...

u using these as snacks? (once a week)?. cichlid gold is my staple, with shrimp as a treat. hmmm, intersting might have to look into this. any other MFKers have experience with these fly lavae?

I actually been feeding a small amount of larvae daily, then my mix of FD krill, carni sticks, nls floating pellets and red wigglers to my eels and loaches. I know they produce these larvae for feeding farmed fish, reptiles, chickens.
