Goodness! Glad it wasn’t any worse.

I have my heaters on surge protectors with my pumps so I just switch the whole system off when doing maintenance. Otherwise I always forget to unplug heaters.

Ouch. Were any fish harmed? One time my heater literally exploded in the tank for no reason (no casualties, fish, invert, or otherwise)

I monitored the fish for the next week and looks like everyone continued on as if nothing had happened.
