Oh so they are prisoners then killed. I see your point, that is much better...
Do you?.....I didn't say that.
I was only referring to the millions of fish that you mentioned. Now as for the confiscated aros there have been cases where they have been turned over to public aquariums and in one rare case, even a private citizen.

I believe it was 8, and he didnt keep them forever unless i am thinking of something else.

......and nobody's actually trying to catch the less attractive endangered wild specimens.

That's actually not true. There are individuals in the aro hobby that seek Asian aros that can be traced back to wild stock - purists if you will, as over the years most of the farmed aros have been cross bred in captivity to create new fancier strains. In China, or Japan, a wild "red" specimen could be sold for almost any price asked. Are there lots out there, nope, but to say that no one is seeking them is a bit naïve I think.

There is a market for everything in this world, and the most rare items become the most valuable. In the part of the world where the wild red stock originate there are still fish, insects, plants, and mammals that will become extinct before the western world has even discovered them.

Lol.
NY, you're doing it wrong

Just come to socal and ask around the Asian population

Lol. No kidding. I've had several offered to me that are all in Socal. A couple have been at decent prices, about the same as Canada.
