the reason the autobot doesnt have a name is because all the mods can operate under the cloak of the autobot. there is no autobot. when a mod doenst feel like giving a reason for closing a thread or editing a thread then they go anomonyous. that way like i said they dont have to give a reason for their actions and the person whos thread they crapped on or closed cant blow up their pms asking why. basically its the lazy way out for them.

I happen to get venomous when I see unfounded criticism and lack of understanding of the work entailed in maintaining a place like MFK in order and user friendly. My venom grows more toxic when said criticicism comes from a 2 month member, who should try to get to know things better before criticizing.

Smijeha, you have to realize MFK is a fast growing community. Please compare the number of the members to the number of moderators. There is only a handful of moderators here in comparison to the total number of members. We have over 1000 members online daily with over 2000 posts. Why do you think we even have report post buttons for everyone to use? We cannot trace every objectionable content nor cope with the complaints coming our way when their posts are moderated which is why the autobot was here for this purpose. Some people give a reason, whether it is valid or not valid, to complain over things whether the issue is big or small.

Please step back and try to read your first post quoted again. Do we have to explain to you every single post deleted even if the issue is pretty minor? With all due respect to you, smijeha, while I cannot speak for the other moderators, I do not appreciate your post telling us we are rather lazy by trying to cloak over who moderated a post nor telling us we crapped on anyone's thread. If you think we have power trips or moderating posts randomly, this is the part wherein I interpret your post in quote highlighted in red that is wrong. We moderate for a reason and we always do. As always, major issues are addressed via a PM with a moderator however we do not find it necessary to have to explain minor issues unless deemed necessary.

Miguel never said autobot isn't any moderators in disguise. You merely misunderstood how much work moderating duties entail. Moderators have duties in their personal life but we also try to do our best to keep everything in order. We do not have much time however to explain every single issue which as I repeat, unless deemed necessary.

Please do try to understand where we are coming in. We dedicated our time for this forum for the love of the aquarium hobby so as much as possible, try to understand why exactly the autobot existed.

You are correct. We only delete valuable information. I'm sure whatever you posted that got deleted was a scientific discovery of epic proportion, but we deleted because we don't like information.
