Butis are gudgeons. That I think by definition makes them gobY-like. They don't have a swim bladder, so when they're not doing anything, they either sink to the bottom or perch on things. I have seen pictures of them hanging upside down. Without the characteristic goby suction cup, I don't know how a gudgeon does this, but obviously it does.
The term "crazy fish" comes from the strange way it will position itself, even totally upside-down.

They are upside down quite often, btu they go in all positions, and they can maintain the angle they are at and glide accross the tank. They are like little submarines but with very articulate movements, not just up down left right, lol.
