I used to have my old butis butis in complete freshwater and he was doing perfect very nice colors red in the fins man I miss him

I have my butis butis with leopard bushfish and a african butterfly fish and a L114 and they all get along just fine butis butis is a awesome fish

I also put in 3 geophagus abalios in the tank and they all are getting along just great! I feel like 2 Butis in one tank would work aslong as there is enough space and cover. mine always rides the wall vertically. People think hes dead until i put food (plankton and blood worms) in then he swoops down outta no where. Oh and his name dry bones (hes more of a black and white with just a lil red on his fins coming in.) Ill post pics soon.
