i feel the same way this forum ***** on the others

Glad you like it man. I felt the same way when I joined.

I like how the jerks are sent into darkness quite quickly.I thank my lord that it has not turned into the trash talk of you tube.Im here to be friends with all of you,if we disagree on a few things then fine, but for the most part we try hard to not get too heated,it happens at times, but its taken care of in one way or another.I like how you can go to serious threads and get scientific or you can come here after a long days work and share things less complicated to unwind with your buds, net buds I guess.Wait, what if,no it couldn't be,what if my laptop came with this MFK program, and your all not really here,oh crap I might have to call one of you to make sure.

we will always be here to help!
i know what you mean by other forums....
on one "particular" local forum people can be so touchy....
just because i say i will feed the feifeng to another fish if no one takes it,i get....USER UNDER MODERATION....

The reason most senior mechanics don't share is because it is a competitive position. For every mechanic out there, there are 10 more wanting the job. There are too many that can change oil and plugs and then call themselves mechanics but they are nothing more than parts replacers that end up throwing more at the car/truck than actually repairing it. The FNG also finds out that he needs to hustle to get the job done and hasn't the motivation to do so. You have to prove yourself before any senior will bother with you.

I know the industry well. 30+ years in it as a ASE Certified Master Mechanic. Like any doctor, lawyer or other professional, you want information? You need to pay for it. Nothing is free. Be thankful the industry has changed - you used to be required to serve 5 years minimum as a "Mechanics helper" before you were licensed as a Mechanic. Now fresh out of school your called a tech and you still don't know squat. It isn't easy but the older guys are fading out and so is the older mindset.

Ex i understand all that fully! But u misinterpreted me. I applied to said jobs as an apprentice but because i had gone to school i was expected to be a "tech" which i was not! And its in all trades and even in my officiating. Being the young gun is a tremendous disadvantage, but im too positive to care. I found my calling im going to go back to school and get a teaching degree, i'd rather teach than ruin something i love. I will always work on cars, but i realize now i dont want to for a living.
