I doubt it will work. The Butti will eventually tear the Oscar up.
man i cant choose between the two i like them both very much!

the oscar will far out grow the butti, but the aggressive nature of the butti will eventally take over and chances are high the oscar will eventually make an unpleasant demise

also need some help from the arowana department, would it be possible for a silver aro and 5 red belly piranha to get along. i thought maybe because the redbellies will be like mid aquarium while the aro will be top. Im not worried about the piranha im worried about the arowana. i think if you could get these to together it would make an awesome amazon tank. Possible?

If you want a dog like fish then go with the oscar.

Agreed. Oscars are very interactive fish, they know who their master "person with the food is" and even know what their food bag looks like. I have 2 Oscars in a 125Gal and wouldn't trade them for anything. Oscars are often "Misunderstood" they are not as mean and aggressive as everyone tries to play them out to be, just most people don't provide proper homes, thus resulting in fights over territory. An Oscar lives to eat, and rearrange his home. As long as he gets his fair share of food (everything he gets to first), and has a living space that tends to his needs, then they are awesome fish that have many tank mate options, as well as a good size and decent life span on them.
