Would i be able to keep a butti in a 30 gallon byitself if i could how long. Are they more aggressive then red devils. How much do they run

price will depend on where you live. around Indy I think I could get one for less than $10. you could keep one in a 30 long for about 6 months or so but they get very big and very aggressive. you'd eventually need no less than a 75 gallon for a single adult. :)

My uncle bout a small one for around seven bucks.

From my experience from the juvenile stage to about 8" the RedDevil is more aggressive but after that they are about the same as far as aggression goes. And if you feed your butti daily i'd say a 30 gallon will last about 4-6months. But plan on getting a large tank because these guys get big and if you plan on housing them with other large fish you need at least a 180Gallon....

They get big and can have a pretty bad attitude. I would say about 4 to 6 months. Although here is an idea of how fast they can grow. I bought a 1incher for $4 and put it in a 55. In about a month it was already 3in so they do grow pretty fast but mine could be an exception. If you do get one just keep an eye on it's growth and you'll know when to upgrade.

their attitude is the worst frome all the cichlid and when they are fully grown they are more aggresive than the r/d

30 is not going to do it for that long

you can keep it in there for a long time, but it will not get as big as ones kept in larger tanks.

Yes it is possible but have you seen what happens not good. When i worked at a LFS i would get these jackasses in tryin to get credit for fish kept in too small of a tank man it disgusted me !!! This one guy had an oscar in a 10 gallon for years its spine was all curved along with its gills it was horrible if you cant house a fish properly dont get the fish.
