First off great site you got here 
...secondly IMO Buttis should be kept alone and they like it that way,my Butti has been a terror from day one at 3 inches,wiped out a lot of nice fish,recently took out a beautiful RT Moto...so I placed Butti in his own tank and there he will stay.
They aren't only mean but relentless,they won't stop till they get what they want.I am sure some can be housed with others but why chance it,they won't just pick on another fish over a period of time,giving you time to monitor and move if need be ...these guys can kill while you leave room for an hour.
My Butti was fine for months normal chasing of other fish but then one day he must have become man because it was hell ever since.
