Yes, 125 is just not large enough to have an adult Butti, and expect to have another cichlid to live in there with him. You would have a better chance at raising a baby Butti with other baby cichlids that is compatible...

that could work, but in a 125 at some point there would probably still be problems

try a pike or or a gar or something that shape every butti i ever owned left those type of fishes alone for whatever reason

How could you not have read that? Every site I went to before purchasing my Butterkoferi said they were extremely aggressive.
