Buttikoferi Growth Rate

HEY MAN A LIL FYI IF U CHANGE TANKS MAKE SURE U HAVE A BIG ONE. MY BUTTIKOLFERI IS AT THE LFS NOW DUE TO THE FACT THAT I CHANGED TO MY 150 AND WHEN I DID THE BUTTIKOLFERI DOMINATED HIS TERRITORY. HE TOOK 3/4 OF THE TANK AND ATTACKED ANY FISH THAT MOVED INTO THAT PART OF THE TANK. MY FRONTOSA LOST 10 SCALES IN ONE DAY FROM ME BEING AT WORK. AND MY BUTTIKOLFERI WAS ABOUT 8 INCHES. THEY GROW QUICK!
I was at my LFS yesterday and they had a huge 10" Butti for sale at $25. Supposedly its been there for over a month already and I was told the previous owner had him in a 500+ tank with CA/SA cichlids in which it almost killed everything. That was all the details I got from the employees but that thing was a beast.
Before you ask about growth rate, you must know that a butti will eventually have to be kept by itself. Mine's about 7.5-8 inches and its grown about .25-.5 inches a month and I feed a variety of pellets. I would plan on finding a tank before it gets 4-5 inches unless you want to incur a very large amount of fish deaths..
