I had never purchased cichlids over the internet before. I sent an order to Bluegrass Aquatic's for 3 types 5 of each. Paid $44.50 per type and $39 shipping when I received my order every type were in a bag with 5 fish each 3 bags. One of the bags had 3 dead fish and 2 sick ones that died within 2 days and the water was full of fish parts and smelled like a sewer. Bluegrass offered me a coupon of $30 toward my next order which will be never. They have refused to refund my $44.50. I looked them up on the cichlid forum where they are a sponsor and found many complaints 6 in the last 2 months. Save your money and buy local if you can. If you have to buy over the internet google the outfit you are buying from to insure they are reliable with good reviews.

Man what's up with these guys? Someone a day ago had the same issue on here I do believe.. Hopefully they get there act together. (Not trying to offend the company).

Sorry to hear that. I have ordered fish online and have been fortunate to deal with outstanding vendors who stood behind their stock. After all if they dont get repeat business they will fail.

Most have offered replacement fish with my next order. Not usually a big deal since Ive been in on group buys and the next order came pretty soon.

Not to stir up trouble but were all the instructions followed about what to do when receiving dead fish? Were they sent overnight, Fed Ex?

Because they do have a warranty if certain things were followed. If they refused to honor that warranty and all terms were met, I would be contacting my credit card company for a refund.

Sorry to hear, ive had one issue ordering a fish online and it was horrible. Hope you get it straightened out. If they put in as much effort in customer service as posting on here, you should be taken care of quickly(doesnt sound like thats the cause though)

I would be interested to know if Eddie realizes he is getting so much bad press. Since he opened his store, he may not spend a whole lot of time there any more. Perhaps some of the workers have let it go down hill. He has always been good to deal with. Although, it was all farm bred fish, nothing special.

Sorry for your luck. I had a shipment from them arrive all DOA, but they fixed the problem immediately and reshipped my order, 2 days later had all my fish happy and healthy in my tank.
