Looking forward to see that picture Michael.
Got my fish already. He's around 5 inches with a big appetite. I've been feeding him platies and swordtails. He, however, shows no interest in market shrimp or pellets. Is it possible to eventually make him accept these foods? I just want to add variety.

Get it off live food, much healthier for it to eat prepared. Try earthworms, they LOVE them. Stop feedin the mollies and platys, and it will be more open to trying new foods. When i got my lent and other pikes.......they were fed only live foods, in 3 days I had them onto mysis, cocktail, beefheart, sinking pellets, earthworms, and algae wafers. So it can be done. Make em hungery, ie don't feed them...haha...and they will try anything. Might take a few times before they like it, but they eventually will give in to their hunger..pikes are gluttons...use it to your advantage..

I'll do what you said and starve him a little. I heard that live food should be given since they seem to increase the fish's resistance to HITH. Do you agree to this?

Nope, it seems to increase it cuz they don't have as much of a varied diet. Most peeps who feed live foods get lazy and just feed live foods, which don't really give the fish a whole varient of nutrients and what not. Spreading the variety out and giving them selection helps to boost their immune system and make them healthier...
