Buying Cheap EBJDs

If anybody else out there with cheap electric blue jack dempseys please write on the forum.

I had recently bought my EBDJs from my LFS. I ended up paying $25/each (bought three) at the time. They usually sell for $45/each where I got them from. Some sites I've seen them listed at upwards of $70/each. That's insanity! I got the good deal because they went thru a local breeder.

They were 1" at the time I bought them, too. Not sure if this is any additional insight for you.

i have to say i am on the west coast, and a ebjd for 4 bucks is outrageous cheap. they are selling them at my lfs for 29 each

Is there anybody with a male EBJD for sale under $20

These fish are hard to come by cheap. I think I got a heck of a deal on my male when I got him for 35 bucks at over 4"s. He was the nicest of the bunch they had, I have pics of in in my album. It's going to be hard to find a nice quality one for less than 20 bucks.

dunno . . . not in the market for one, but I believe there are some vendors on MFK who you could start with . . .

my point is, I would ask "who is a good dealer for quality EBJD?"

not "where I can score some cheap EBJD?"

I recommend Rick Coye who is located in Dana Point, Cali. I can supply you an email if you are interested but I am not sure if he is willing to ship to Canada. I bought 3 3-4inch EBJDs AAA quality, which cost a little more but you wont be disappointed. Another thing to keep in mind is that small (1 inch) and cheap EBJDs are very difficult to keep alive so you will have to buy quite a few to ensure that at least a few will survive 3 inch+
