Buying Fish Online

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
http://www.aquavalley.ca/eshop/ has livestock and cheap frags (from what i can see) infact best selection of corals and inverts ive seen in a canadain online (except maybe jl but these guys actauly have pics and a WYSIWYG section) the frags are under the WYSIWYG section FYI and they even sell full corals, for not crazy prices, but not cheap at the same time.
If these guys turn out to be reputable/good to deal with I mite just make them one of my main sources for livestock.

http://www.fragd.it/ is a canadian source for frags, dont know anything about them but they seem to have good selection. But I would ask around about their reputation, as I remember hearing a few canadain frag sources shipped almost all DOAs and where a pain to deal with to get refund or replacement... I think it was www.fragalot.ca (though other people say that have had good experince with him).

Here is a link to a canadian aquarium foum and their retailer listing (hopefully this wont get me into trouble with the MFK mods sorry in advance) http://www.aquariumpros.ca/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=79 this is likely the best list of canadian and shiping to canada sources.

From that page I can see there is alot more available in canada then I had perviously thought.

From my limited experience the idea of purchasing online does not work very well. I got 2 blue tangs, 6 green Chromis, and a green Clown Goby online. Out of all these fish I have 1 Green Chromis left. The others never acclimated well and all died within 1 week. I would stick with the LFS is possible. Plus the high shipping is a bi@@h.
