Buying stingray on eBay

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Those pics are from exoticfishshop. I've ordered from him before and is a good seller of fish. He follows same policies as other online vendors. He's replaced fish for others I know when DOA but not for me personally. These were not stingrays. Prices are a bit more but you have the choice of not buying it.

Should post in the Ray section as there are members here that sell good rays. I want some myself but can't.

Thanks for your input!

Really? thanks for that man, cause my LFS is charching me 250 for them...
are they large? one of two of the expensive lfs's around me sells their 7-9" disk moto's for 150, they get like 3-4 in at a time usually. Could possibly be someone in my area is breeding them and selling them the pups so they may be getting huge discounts and selling them fast but that's just my experience. they only get motoros so I have no other basis either.

For what the guy told, they around 3-5 Inch. He's selling the "teacups" for 100 but I want to avoid those.

where do you live ? in PA? I would make it there if the motoros are $100 :)

by teacups does he mean retics?
ya, Pittsburgh. AquaWorld is the name of the LFS, they have a website.
I won't lie...its not my first choice in lfs's...they are one of those combo reptile/fish stores and they seem clean for the most part but...they are attached to a Chinese food restaurant haha and the staff...is hit or miss on knowledge. I talked to who I believe was the owner or at least a veteran employee last time and he was very good, but some of the guys are those typical "oh ya totally an RTC will fit in your 55 for at least 2 years! you're good! take 5!".

they were also featured in someone else's thread due to the fact that they have 4 giant catfish (2 rtc, a rtcxtsn hybrid and a wyckii) in a 125. all 4 fish are easily 24"+ and can't turn in the tank.

I will say though I've bought quite a few fish from them and never had a disease breakout or die off.

I'd keep an eye on JoJo's website too, ichibantropical.com, his motoros are only like 150-200 usually.
