I want a t5 fixture you can buy at home depot or lowes. It has to be 48" and like 2-3 bulbs at least. Also cheap. Please give me links. Also, with a t5 fixture should i toss the standard hood and a get a glass hood?

or aquatraders.com

48" for 45$ with 2 bulbs, 48" with 4 bulbs 85$

someone sent me that link and I spent 200$ that I was not planning

fishneedit has 2 48 bulb fixtures for $80 best bang for your buck that i have seen. they have individual reflectors.

im going to have to argue with you there aquatraders is by far the best priced fixtures, I was going to order from fishneedit but found aquatraders.

for 105$ i got 48inch fixture, 4 bulbs, with moonlights, each with individual reflector, and built in timer.

a 48in fixture with 2 bulbs is only 45$ (one reflector for the two of them, but still 45$!!!!)

48 in basic fixture with just one reflector for the four bulbs is only 85$!! twice the lights as fishneedit for 5$ more!! all fixtures comes with bulbs as well!!

:duh: can you give me some links to the ones you have (if any) and answer the questions i have?

Just messin with ya bro. I have a Coralife FW Aqualight that only cost me about 50 bux, but the aquatraders & fishneedit ones are probably a better deal. Its not really what you asked about, but here is the link to mine: http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsU...7/cl0/coralifefwt5aqualightdoublestriplight48

EDIT: To answer your other question, you will definitely need glass lids, but the right fixture may fit under your existing hood. Just depends on what kind of hood/canopy you have now.

i know the history odyssea lights have. i wont fall back into that trap again. the only one that say it comes with individually reflectors is the $109 one. i looked at the pics of the others but you really cant tell. do you have pic of the other one closer up so i can see?
