i know the history odyssea lights have. i wont fall back into that trap again. the only one that say it comes with individually reflectors is the $109 one. i looked at the pics of the others but you really cant tell. do you have pic of the other one closer up so i can see?

your right, the 109 one is the only one with individual reflectors. All the other ones just have one reflector for the whole fixture at least I am pretty sure..

thats what i think it is. it looks like it from the site. still its $109 vs $140 and they do have them in stock while fishneedit been out. odyssea you get the timer which is nice but still the nagging in the back of my head of them burning out and some even catching on fire. they might be fine now but i am sure wouldnt take that risk.

Just for an hour or so while I was doing soemthing in the tank of viewing them. I just bought the 109$ one and 2 36 inch fixtures, Ill let you know how they go hopefuly they wont burn my apartment down...

ive had a 36 inch 78 watt odyssea, its doing fine. had it for over a year.

the bad: the bulbs it came with are pure crap.

i believe the problems were with power compact fixtures. they problems have since been fixed. also i think i heard what happened were not real fires just melting plastic inside and some smoke.

edit: i looked at some threads they were actual fires for a short amount of time, the ballast was the problem .
