buying used iphones

im going to be buying a used iphone in the next week or two. i was wondering what are some things i should watch out for or should test before i buy it how can i find out which company the iphone is for? if anyone sees this that is selling a 4 or 4s from at&t or that is unlocked pm me
 
One question I would ask is battery life. You should go to AT&T and check out their display iPhone 4 or 4s to get a feeling of how it looks like. I would recommend buying new, but if you insist in getting it used that is your decision. I believe an iPhone 4s is $100 if you're elegible for an upgrade or start a new line.
 
Yea battery life on iPhones goes downhill very quickly especially if they used it for a whole two years and its not easy to replace it

I believe that IPhones have an indicator in the headphone jack that turns red if it's exposed to water, you'll want to make sure it hasn't been activated.

Where are you getting it from? I got my iPhone used from Verizon and had very little problems. If you have the skills swapping out batteries is very hard. I changed mine in about an hour besides that I changed my home bottom and its good as new.

In not sure where im getting it from im thinking maybe isupply in the mall. They sell used and refurbished iphones. So im hoping they have their on warranty on them. Im going there today to check them out
