That lyonsi alone will probably make them back more then what they paid for the dovii - the $100 credit is very fair on their end. Anyone in their right mind in an LFS will only pay about 1/3 of what they can sell the fish for, that's how these places stay in business. With the advent of online vendors livestock is the main cash cow for local stores these days.

Nice pick up balton. If the fish was something you really wanted then by all means it was worth whatever you paid for it. Just because someone else says different doesn't make it so.

It's a very good looking dovii, you'll enjoy him - they're super intelligent, probably the smartest fish I've ever kept. I think most people on here are just looking at it from the monetary point of view. Like I said in my first post, if it's what you want then go for it! Large males aren't easy to come by.
