The tank is definitely cycled. It's been up since January, and I saw the spikes and cycle. It's tough to tell exactly what the parameters are with the color tests. It looked pretty close to yellow and zero to me, but maybe it was a little higher. Not much though.

Sometimes if you havnt done a water change in a long time, the ph will be low. If you do a large water change the ph goes up suddenly , and the ammonium in your water converts back into ammonia and the fish are dead. It sounds like that might be what happened to you.
