Thanks for the compliments. The black background is easier to take photos on. The tank lighting is very weak so I won't burn his back. I know most people use white as it helps the fish show more gold but I think it will develope in time on its own.

I also believe that a quality XB would still cross with time. So the white tank treatment is only a preview, but then again, I am an impatient guy

If you bought this fish at the price Jay posted, it is definitely a good price vs value buy. Good looking little guy. Keep us posted.

Fish was $1800 from Jay at arovillage. He still has some left. He was excellent to deal with and fish showed up in great shape. A little stressed from the journey but was well packed with heating pads and certificate was laminated so it couldn't get damaged. It has been a very pleasant experience so far now if I can just get him to eat more pellets.
