what are you looking for friedricks are more personal (at least the 2 I owned); grammodes are nicer to look at; loiselli are rarer so might be more exotic plus they are calmer on average then the other 2. If you get females & have a big enough tank you can try all 3 at once. I must warn you all the grammodes i've kept/keep seem to purposely target parachromis species so i gave up unless it was one female that didn't kill them.

between those 3 I'd probably go loisellei. they have excellent color. grammodes are very nice but grow rather slowly. if you're patient then go with the grammodes. you should really like them especially being a dovii fan. the grammodes is often called the mini dovii because they look and act very similar but they are more colorful and don't get nearly as large.

when in doupt of what fish to get GET A DOVII!!!! I'm still mad at you for not using pictures of My dovii in your profile!!!! you can put his name up so he can be famous like Pablo. My dovii does have a cool name though. I named him tea cup. :headbang2 :headbang2

I think these are all cool central american cichlids:
motaguense (red tiger especially)/friedrichsthalii/loisellei
grammodes
istlanum
carpinte/texas
neets
cuban (tetracanthus)
black nasty (haitiensis)

yeah guys all good ideas i think im just goin to complete my parachromis collection and get the loiselli, friedestachelli, and i need 2 doviis since myne got killed when i first got them....
