C. lenticulata in 75? Also care?

I've never been much of a pike fan but those lents did catch my eye, along w/ the all red pike of course. John had a really good shipment - some really nice angels and some awesome royal heckel cross discus. Good luck with the pikes!

The Atabapo reds are very nice, but I see a lot that seem to fade into a dull red as they get larger and they aren't as appealing to me anymore. But the lenticulata look great to begin with and then just get better when they get large with the pinks, greens and spots. Gorgeous. :)

Dried oak leaves will lower ph too. Get them just after they fall. Don't know how many oaks you have in florida though. You just have to take them out when they start to disintregate.

Do I need to worry about water changes with the different pH levels of the tank with leaves and the tap water?

And not a lot of oak leaves. Plus they don't do as much falling off here with the super short (and warm) fall/winter months here. Would the alder cones be okay. Or is there someplace I can order the special leaves from?

Sphagnum peat moss (no fertilizers or additives) from Walmart will do the same thing in lowering the PH and TDS levels. Just put it in a HOB or canister.

But won't there be an issue with pH bouncing up and down with water changes? Or would just doing a small amount to get the pH down to 6.5-6.8 be okay? My tap water comes out at 7.8, but drops down to 7.4 over the next 12-24 hours.
