Just got these puppies in today from Rapps.

Got 8 of them to grow out in the 75. As they mature, the plan is to introduce them to the 180.

This is my second go at this species as I list my first batch I had over 2 years ago. Thi is by far my favorite of the caquetaia genus and one of my favorite new world cichlasomines.

I'm curious to know what kind of growth rate I can expect. I plan on feeding them a mix of pellets, flakes, frozen, and live.

Please share your experiences.

I'm not sure where the hystrix is but I had a bad experience with juvenile cichlids and rays, something to consider. Good luck with them, they definitely make showy adults.

I just got them in today. I will try feeding with some frozen tonight.

Thanks Richard. They are in my 75. They will end up on my 180 once they grow out to about 4 or 5 inches.

The hystrix is in my 225 with angels and later, the discus.
