MFK is a serious addiction and Cichla just make the addiction that much more intense. A lot of money has changed from hand to hand and a lot of money has been shelled out just for Cichla. I just want to get it right. I want to be able to provide everyone with the COURAGE and HEART that want to own Cichla to have the opportunity to do the same as me. BREED and BREED the best Cichla possiable to keep this "Thing of our's" alive and well and able to be enjoyed by many for many years to come. Even if there not in it for breeding like myself then they can still enjoy the "Cichla Bath"! (To be honest my non Cichla friends hate the "Cichla Bath's" the most) or like most of us here with 240g or lower just the pure chance to own a True Monster and be able to be a True Monster Fish Keeper.

You got to be willing to put the time in or it will unravle in a heartbeat And i would just like to add it don't matter the tank size if your willing to put in the work it takes you deserve the chance to keep one of these beauties or a bunch Just my two cents ..I feel privalaged to be able to keep them and am just as passionate today as ever and i hope to keep the passion for many years And Thanks HCR for bein here to answer all my questions for that matter all of ya!!!! It's been a pleasure to help you get to the point your at and can't wait to see what the future hold's. That's what were here for to help one another. Even I need to ask a question or two every here and now. There is no dumb question except the question not asked. Believe it or not there are still some MFK members who never have and still don't give me the time of day and seem to have problem with my kindness to help others whether it be Cichla/Cichlids/Pike's or any information to help any fellow MFK. Even if you have a 10 gallon I can relate because I have one also. When I first joined here I told a member he must be proud of his beautiful collection he told me "What's pride got to do with it?" He said "I didn't do anything but change the water. What is there to be proud of?" From then on I knew that not everyone here is going to respect hard work and not everyone is going to understand what it mean's when they say ~hard work pay's off in the end.~

IM WORKING HARD FOR US ALL ALL OF US MFK! It was a long hard road to breed Peacock bass but I did it! It wasn't about the money cause I didn't really make any off of them, for me it was about the pure accomplishment and knolwedge gained. Oh yea and seeing that look on my friend's face when they congratulate me. I feel like we all did it when one of us succed's even if it's in a 125g. (temporary tank for Cichla)

Definatly true HCR on all counts for sure And No it's not about the money for me either never will be ..If i'm lucky enough to have some Cichla breed for me the only thing i might do or would do is reinvest in Mooooooore tanks and filtration AHAHAHAAAA!!!!! just crazy like that

Agreed with ya'll. I don't think anybody will experience the pure AWESOMENESS of these beast in till they keep a pack of um. Feeding time got me hooked, tidal wave after tidal wave non stop, At lease two gallons of water on the ground.
I hope to be one of the people to breed them at a steady supply, just to give the hobby a taste of these beauties.

Gotta love a soaked pair of clothes during feeding. And how about the ruthlessness of cichla attacking any new fish you add to the tank. Its gonna get hammered atleast once no matter what it is...or how big.

^^^^^ True that ^^^^^ They replaced my Pitt Bull since they got banned out here so I do enjoy when the put other Cichlids in there place.
