im fairly new to the cichla world and im already addicted! seeing all these amazing setups like dmack and ridah were my inspiration, and everybody else too. ive always loved cichla but i just recently started collecting them. im trying to learn as much as i can and i plan on going all out.

and you know what i love even more than cichla? cichla keepers! you guys are like one big family, some of best folks on this site. you dont see that in any other forum here on MFK.

D.R.E.A.M it's kind of self explanatory!

I will be the first to say this I tried to fit into a lot of different crowds and there are some mean individule's who go out of there way to make sure you know that they know more about a paticular fish then you do and one being the Parachromis crowd. There are some Cichla aggressive people more lately then before. But the one who was open to me ws the one who was on top of the CICHLA game. Scott made me fell like I was welcome and that is the other thing about the Cichla crowd were all learning. Were all here for help. No one is sitting on a soap box saying this is the way it is. We all say this is the way it is because were to help. I will admit some noob to cichla pick's up some Kelberi and all of the sudden his attitude is he know's it all. But us who have kept cichla know "On top of the world today and looking for another rare cichla to replace the one you lost the next day." What I mean is anybody can buy a Cichla. The road to success is a long hard road this ain't your run of the mill Cichlid. I will be the first ot say OWNING CICHLA is intemidating (Spelling) but for sure it is very rewarding.

REAMIN HUMBLE! Or my Cichla will eat your fish~

LOL.... a grown dovii will destroy cichla in a heart beat. Cichla are cool, but I'm not going to bust a nut over one. I though the lounge was for non-fish topics Shouldn't this thread be in the MFK spirit?

Very true a grown Dovii will probably tear a Cichla up. But if they were put into the same tank at full grown size would be the key. The same could be said about any Cichlid that is of compariable size. But let's say we put your Dovii in a tank with ...... a ful grown GATF? You see my point there is alway's another variable. But of course I didn't get my Dovii or Cichla to see who would win!

And yes you are right this is a non fish topic in some people's eye's! Maybe you should take it up with them since I originally put it in the Cichla forum. We just follow the rules we didn't make them!
