Alright, first let me say this. Your post, was incredibly hard to decipher. So, if I say something out of bounds its probably because I could not understand what you meant. However, based on what I could comprehend I say this:

Almost all of us (people who keep cichla and joined MFK) came through means like you have mentioned.

Its great that you have had people assist you, showing you ways of bettering your hobby. I'm pretty sure that is one of the intentions of this site (sharing the experiences and knowledge between users).

Well my opinion on C.R.E.A.M and the whole "elitist" thing is like J mentioned. Viewed in the quote below.



I agree 100%, in the past not sure if you were around but this forum in particular had many issues. This being a good part of it. I do believe you know what i am talking about. If you don't then ask your buddies, as I rather not get involved again.

And yes, we all know who hennry is .

Well sure Tim The thing i guess that is troubling me is you have really shown any interest or anything that i can remember before ???????? I wanted to meet these guys and went straight to them by pm and Said Hi I'm hugh i love the way your cichla look can i come to you if i have questions and most if not all said sure you bet I mean really am i just totally missing something here ????????????

I'm not quite sure what your getting at here. Are you slamming me for not having enough involvement in the forum. I'm in my fourth year keeping cichla and still feel like an outsider because of this "intimidating" culture we still have in the forum.
I was just starting to the get passion back and wanted to be more involved because there was no longer a big members only club and then you post comments like that.
First of all you say C.E. is for raising fry to adulthood. Then you say it must be discussed with high city and boosten and now it's just a badge to show you know your way round the tank. MAKE YOUR MIND UP.

Please explain to me why Gangster must ask permission to tag C.E. and please explain why CREAM is invitation only?

wow, looks like i opened up a nasty can with my one simple question...

as for a newbie in the cichla world, I dont see the C.R.E.A.M. or CE as a sign of elitism, rather a sign of passion for cichla and a sign a accomplishment respectively...

like someone said earlier, it helps to know who to ask questions... I think of them as the old china man from the karate kid movies, that always has the answer...

My goodness Tim Not at all am i trying to slam you All i am trying to say is you ask me something I am flatered you have enough respect for me to even ask my opinion And with Gangster I was kinda kidding kinda meaning those two have been here longer and honestly i did not know the answer like a say anybody can put what ever they want in their sig
That is my whole point it's a free forum we all can do what we please as long as we follow the forum rules ?????? I still just don't even see why this has become a great issue?????????????????????

it looks like you did open up an old can of worms.
i remember this same argument that last time i worked here so i guess things never change and usually when its to do with C.R.E.A.M.
