c02 diffuser problems

Below is a diagram of the co2 diffuser I made.

The problem is that as the pressure builds up inside the bottle top the red line drops lower and lower until a big bubble explodes from underneath it. How to i stop this from happening?
 
You are relying on simple passive diffusion for CO2 into your tank. You would be better off directing that flow into a filter (canister preferred, but HOB will work ok). This will cause the CO2 to have forceful contact with the water, dissolving a much higher content. Another option would be to have the airstone directly underneath a powerhead, and have the powerhead throw the CO2 around your tank.
 
The method Evercl mentioned would be best in your situation, but first thing is just remove that bottle top. It actually is making your diffusion worse, than just having the airstone in the bottom of the tank.
