I just love that tank the way it is. Great job of matching up the real stones and rocks with the artificial ones in the background. That's a piece of nature!

The wood was cleaned and washed in hot water. The wood is quite light in nature, and so needed to be weighed down. Small and thinner pieces took around 3 weeks to finally sink, the larger pieces took longer, around 5 months to sink. You will get a bit of tannis from the wood, but all this is finally cleared up within a month or so of water changing. My water is fairly hard, so it didn't make a dent at all in turning the water soft.
