CA cichlids that stay under 7"?

I havent personally kept them. But I got really close. They are very similar to cons and hrp's in behaviour and requirements. Just a different colour. So given that you have kept both I would say you are in good stead.

don't forget sajica.another crypto i believe.if you keep kribs before you could also look at some of those related pelvichromis? species too
 
I can't believe nobody has mentioned centrarchus. Easily one of my favorite fish males can get 7-8" and are absolutely stunning.

Ive actually been looking at giant kribs. I want them but dont know where to get any. Does anyone know where?

Never heard of giant kribs before,search them with the scientific name.I would pm or email some vendors,if its not on their regular stock then maybe they can order it for you
