Well, it's been a while since I've been over here, but I got this CA today and it was just labeled as a "Flamingo" Cichlid, I can't find any info on them and really would like to know what he is. Can anyone help me with this one??

Ahhh, the pics didn't upload..I'll try again.

I did look into the Amphilophus robertsoni was hoping that was what he was after I seen them...but he is missing the sparkle of them I think. Then I was looking at the barred Midas, he is kinda similar to them also...I'll have to look at the blue Acara's if I can find any juvie pics!!

Thank you!!!

It definitely isn't a blue Acara, just has a similiar spot arrangement. I notice both yours and my Firemouth have it as well though.

I looked at the Midas again, and now I don't really think it is that either...mine only has the 2 spots, in the middle of his tummy and at his tail, they have spots all the way down.

LOL, I didn't even notice my FM was in one of the pics, I was like how did you know what my FM's look like:grinno:

Yeah, I looked at the Acara while I was relooking at the midas and no, that is not it, I agree.

Given it's profile and similarity to a Firemouth I'm browsing through Thorichthys species now.

Baby barred midas....Looks a little like a "chancho"....
