I wouldnt think so but the lfs here might. It is a rare day that they have any cichlids.

I was catching bait for snook fishing today (Mayans and spotted Tilapia) when I pulled in a few unexpected fish. I was astonished when I found a Salvini cichlid on the end of my line. Some irresponsible fish keeper introduced these fish to my neighborhood canal and they have spawned a new generation. I'll take some pics tomorrow when I catch some more bait. I guess it beats paying $15 each for one at a pet store. I have also caught some Flowerhorns and Jags in the Griffin canal.
I've actually wanted to catch black acaras that are supposedly in canals, but no luck in the ones by me...not sure if you guys see them up in broward
KABB44423 I live in Plantation and have fished here for over 10 years. I have never seen any Black Acaras before but wouldn;t be surprised if they are in our waterways. One of my goals is to catch a Florida Record sized Mayan. I caught a couple in the 2lb range but no record yet.
