somwhere
I was thinkin of adding an aro to my list of aggresive cichlids. So far the list is a jag, RD, maybe a flowerhorn or a green texas all in a 135. I wanted to add an aro till untill it grows out of the tank. I thought the aro could just glide acorss the top. So any opinions??

Thanks

sure. It might work just fine. depends on how territoral the fish are. but based on that mix of fish that are generally to be kept solo I think their attention is scattered enough that adding a good sized arrow might work fine. Just make sure that the arrow is bigger then them.

chances are high that your aro will get torn up bad

dont do it

and what would happens when it grows out of the tank?

I think the aro would be dead meat it's not aggressive enough. Don't do it!

I keep a 13" vieja fenestatus (agressive as hell) a 12" oscar, and a 15" jag with my aro....
none of them ever bother the aro (24")

ETA: I've had a 12" FH in with it as well.

i say go for it just make sure the aro is bigger than the rest

If i did it the aro would be 7-8" and everthing else would be 1-2"
well everything would be eaten. think about it most goldfish are 1-2" and my friend has a 8 inch arowana that will eat as many as he will give it. so in about three days all ur cichlids would be gone.
