  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
we have a bass pro shop right down the road.great fish some of the bluegill are so big they look kinda freakish.huge bass, cats ,gar, pike, even some strippers.would like to get to a cabelas.

Hiya shell, welcome to MFK!
Did you mean they had stripers? because if my bait shop had strippers I might have to go fishing more often. :naughty:

I saw the one in Minnesota right after it opened up. The tank was huge and they had some giant catfish and sturgeon in there, but all in all I was not too impressed. The tanks were sparse and had few hiding spaces. I know, I know, give the people what they want, and they want to be able to see the fish, but I think they would get very stressed after a while.

Oh, and sturgeon are FW fish, not saltwater.

And another thing to add, I did notice that a lot of the fish in Cabela's aquariums were sick. Lots of the sunnies and crappies had ich.

i love the cabelas in hamburg pa the tanks and the mountain with the water fall pond its a store that im not alowed to bring my wallet i get in trouble alot of trouble but beautiful tanks

Just went to check out the shop in Rogers, MN. Dam those fish are huge, and fat too. Never knew walleyes are that dark in color and their was on blue cat fish that could have swallowed a small child...

The fish seems to have a lot of disease though, not sure why but they seem sluggish from being fed too much. They are really fat, but too bad I missed the feeding show yesterday, that's probably why they are so fat. Man those huge strugeons they have look like a small black seal.... :grinno:

Here are some bluecats from my cabelas
