nice O's bro. I have 4 i am growing out with my 1 bahia. mine ate pellets in the beginning and now refuse to. All they eat is tilapia and shrimp and freeze dried krill, so i am not to stressed as once they get bigger i can stuff pellets in the meaty food to train them. My question is i had no problems getting my orinos to eat anything except for pellets. I find they are easier and less stuborn than any bass i have had. Have you experienced this? I am waiting for the brokos to hit the west coast. Wes Fugupuff said they should be ready soon so i will be addin 2 of these to my collection. looking forward to the updates.
 
I ngot my Orino's to mouth the pellets a couple times but wouldn't actually take it , I tried giveing them tilapia cut up into bite sized peices ( thanks mike!) and they loved it, so then I strated stuffing carnivore pellets in the tilapia fillets and after a couple weeks I tried feding just pellets they ate them but didn't cfare for them to much so Iadded the female dempsey and after she was in the tank with them a day they will attack anything that put in the tank :-) I have talked to several people on here and they say Orino's are the easiest to train , but we also have to keep in my mind these was my first peacock bass .
 
nice i heard the same thing that orinos are the easiest which is great. I plan to stuff once they get a litlle bigger but for now im doing the shrimp and tilapia cut up and having fun with them growing.

they wont eat anythin that isnt cut into tiny pieces
they love PE mysis tho
 
I would try stuffin small pellets in to the peices, its a great way to give extra vitamans ( bassinmike85 made a Great video on this post showing how to do that )

I am going to be trying a little experiment and we will see how it pans out won't start it till after my next monthly update .

Thanks Hugh I appreciate it , but I think its going to be awhile before I post anymore updates.
I have alot going on right now , some Major health things... but the way it looks like with your the only one who commented on my last update and its been 12 days so I doubt my little orino's will be missed .
 
its the dang youtube vid links...i cant see any vids unless embeded cause im on this dumb wii. Im sure they look good tho...any still pics?
