Calcium Precipitation

I have almost the identical parameters and calcium deposits are the bane of my existence. Even with glass lids I still get the creep on every tank in the house.

I usually use vinegar on soaked rags to soften it up for removal.

This tank below even has a cover on the overflow yet still creeps…

I'm ready to get rid of my tank!!! I hate this stuff!!! 😒

Hi everyone. Hope you're having a good day. I mentioned earlier about having a piece of driftwood in the tank and removing it because I didn't like it. It was a big piece of driftwood for the 72. Would it be OK to just have a small piece about 7 inches in there?
